In Memory of:

1.) Remembering My Uncle, Dr. Melvin H. Miles: The Navy Scientist from Utah Assigned to Examine Cold Fusion – Arise from the Dust

As we approached the home of my uncle, Dr. Melvin H. Miles, in St. George, Utah, my wife and I noticed a small placard at the side of his door that we had never seen anywhere else: “Cold Fusion Is Real.” I was skeptical, based on what I had heard as a young chemical engineer, but wanted to learn. Two hours after we sat with him and asked about his years of research work for the Navy, we would hear that phrase again. After summarizing his findings, he looked me in the eye and said, “Either cold fusion is real, or I’m a liar.” From a good man noted for his frankness and honesty, this was a powerful statement.

That was in early 2025, the first of five interviews I had with him discussing cold fusion….

2.) Obituary | Dennis Meyer Bushnell of Hampton, Virginia | R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home

Dennis Meyer Bushnell, 84, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025.  He was born in New Haven, Connecticut to parents Jordan Lawrence Bushnell and Anna Marie Kaiser Bushnell, and grew up in Westbrook and Old Saybrook. Bushnell obtained his M.E. degree from the University of Connecticut in 1963 and his M.S. degree from the University of Virginia in 1967, both in the field of Mechanical Engineering….

Papers:

1.) Dr. Ed Storms gifted the forum and LENR CANR a very interesting and historically valuable paper. In addition to including a brief self-biography and his dealings with Google/NASA, he takes us through his journey towards understanding the “Cold Fusion operational process”. Culminating in what he hopes will be a guideline for others to follow in achieving commercial applicability: “A METHOD TO PRODUCE PRACTICAL POWER”.

The History of Cold Fusion by Edmund Storms

*Heads up: Don’t stop reading at the acknowledgement. Below that is much more.

2.) Vol 40 of the Journal of Condensed Matter Nuclear Science has been uploaded to LENR-CANR: BiberianJPjcondensedzm.pdf

a.) Carl Page’s “Solid State Fusion” considers one of the Journal papers (Pinnow/Miller) to be of such significance they ran a Press Briefing on it: Solid-State Fusion | Fusion Energy as the Principal Energy Source
